AJ for CU Regent

Welcome to my campaign website for the University of Colorado (CU) Board of Regents, 6th Congressional District. 

The Board of Regents is the Board of Directors for all CU campuses (Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs) and the medical school in Aurora.  It makes policy decisions in areas such as academics, athletics, and tenure.  The Board is responsible for hiring and firing the CU President, and it allocates a $2.4 billion budget.  CU matters to all Coloradans because it is the economic engine that powers this state, attracting tens of thousands of jobs and millions in federal funding, and serving as the state’s fourth largest employer.     

I am running to:

• Make education affordable for working and middle class families
• Hold CU accountable to Colorado taxpayers by increasing transparency
• Ensure that the hundreds of millions of dollars going to CU are spent wisely
• Prepare a globally competitive workforce
